Interesting bit of history on Kootenay Lake

In the 1950's a group of Quakers moved from the USA to carve out a community at the north end of Kootenay Lake. Argenta continues to be a place of peace and beauty.

Here's a small taste of a film being made about these principled folks...

Comments:
I find Quakers beliefs very interesting, and I think they share a lot with some Indian wisdom, the former just call the relation "God", the later call it "Spirit". Maybe, we have a lot to learn from both groups simple way of living ?!?

(for the record; I am neither Quaker, nor Indian ;-)

Goodness, there is so much useful information above!
