Something interesting and quick check in...

I'm in Prince Rupert today after the weekend in Vancouver, which was the best. It's sunny here today and I can see (from my hotel balcony) - snow capped mountains, a sunny harbour, misty islands covered in thick cedar forests, one...no make that two eagles and a funky quaint main street. All of that makes it difficult to work.

I'll take some photos and find a cable to download them.

Here's another great video find - maybe you've seen it. The long view....

Art and concrete

This is a wonderful piece of animated art, created on the street in Buenos Aires . (Thanks AJ)

Just a quick post to let you know I'm alive and well and indeed on the road (a lot). I am lurking though, so you'll see comments now and then. Photos from the road for next week.

Apologies in advance...

last year's visit to Prince Rupert - from the Crest Hotel window

I'm entering a crazy, interesting time for the next 6 weeks or so. During that time, in addition to eating, sleeping and seeing my kids and friends when I can - I'll be traveling and working. I'll be flying/driving to (the map shows only northern BC): Prince George (X2), Vancouver, Kelowna, Prince Rupert, Terrace, Smithers, Toronto (Amnesty meeting), Quesnel, Dawson Creek, Fort Nelson, Fort St. John, Vanderhoof, Mckenzie and the Robson Valley.

Are you tired yet? I think I am!

So I'll watch your blogs and will post now and then, but consider this fair notice that this blog may be boring.

Here's a question that I'll leave you with - an important one to me.

"How do you define balance in your life and how are you doing at achieving it?"

And the winners are...

David Shrigley's work

The weird, but interesting haiku contest is officially closed, prize-wise. I put all the names in my little handmade box (by my daughter, not me). And the winners of the orange t-shirts are:

Trust in the candle
Eternal flame hope we pray

Release now the chains,
give light to those in darkness,
love can heal their pain

If you can each email me a post address, the shirts will be on their rebellious journey. (I know I had your address Lindsay, but I can't find it since moving.)

My email is ockenden@netidea

Thanks everyone, there are some pretty wonderful entries in the post below.
