Still here...

Does anyone else feel guilty about having a blog...and blogging friends, but not using it much sometimes?

Maybe it's not guilt, maybe more a niggling sense that I'm letting someone down. Anyhow, I still lurk around your sites when I have a chance and now and then I'm back with a post. Forgive me. Visit us here in Nelson and I'll make it up with a nice dinner and canoe trip on the lake. Really.

A few updates via photography. I'll see if you can figure out which are which.

Keep the Beat
, the local War Child Canada fundraiser took place a recently. A great success again with more than $12,000 raised to send off... and about 1500 visitors.

The 12th Annual Gentleman's Cruise A Palooza
- 10 men, one 55-foot,vessel ,a 100 mile long pristine mountain lake, various intoxicants, cards, fire on the beach...you get the picture. It was really fun again.

The local osprey nest
- a 15 minute paddle to the middle of the lake (photo by Anna). This is a very succes
sful breeding area for these wonderful fishers.

Hope you are each having a swell summer (or winter if you are Lindsay)in Australia...

On a deeper note, in the words of a great modern philosopher, "I don't want to achieve immortality through my work. I want to achieve it through not dying."

Guilt shouldn't be a part of the blogging experience - but it is. I know!
As long as you keep popping in with your latest news and wonderful pictures, all is good!
according to the old saying, you're batting 5,000 today! (if a picture is worth a thousand words)
Happy to know you're enjoying a good summer. It's fine just to say hello when you have a moment.
Hi Gary! It sounds like you are having a fun summer. I can think of worst things than spending a summer canoeing and boating on the lake (for instance, spending the summer dressed in wool).
I love the pictures.
And yes, in answer to your question about men on beer.
I agree with Sera... men on beer! But doing the Titanic is a possibility too. My daughter, G, does it all the time when she stands on top of a chair.

I always miss people when they don't blog often (I have separation issues haha), but I am very happy when they're not blogging because they're out actually living life.

Will you be back in NY any time soon? I can see from the photos though how it can be hard to leave such peaceful surroundings.
Thanks Beth - hope the cottage and summer is good, in spite of Ontario weather.

Gfid - you're supportive, as always :)

Hello Susan!

Seraphine - beer and other things...

Nova - I hope we get back to NYC soon. I love it more than any other city I think. Vancouver is beautiful, Paris is romantic, Khartoum is exotic... but NY is NY.
Well sure we'd like you to post more, but not gonna go for the guilt.
Post when you are inspired & we loves it.
