Poetry soothes the techno beast...

I've been away from my blog, but not away from my life. I hope my blogger friends are all well and enjoying spring (fall for you Lindsay).

My friend Larry tells me that the haiku-like poems below are Japanese Microsoft error messages (replacing the annoying ones that I seem to get here). I have my doubts that Microsoft anywhere is so cool, but I love the verse anyhow...

The Web site you seek
Cannot be located, but

Countless more exist.

--------------------------------------------
Chaos reigns within.

Reflect, repent, and reboot.
Order shall return.

--------------------------------------------

Program aborting

Close all that you have worked on.

You ask far too much.

--------------------------------------------
Windows NT crashed.

I am the Blue Screen of Death.
No one hears your screams.

--------------------------------------------
Yesterday it worked.

Today it is not working.

Windows is like that.

--------------------------------------------

Your file was so big.

It might be very useful.
But now it is gone.

--------------------------------------------

Stay the patient course.

Of little worth is your ire.
The network is down.

--------------------------------------------
A crash reduces

Your expensive computer

To a simple stone.

--------------------------------------------

You step in the stream,
But the water has moved on.

This page is not here.

--------------------------------------------
Out of memory.

We wish to hold the whole sky,

But we never will.

--------------------------------------------
Serious error.
All shortcuts have disappeared.
Screen. Mind. Both are blank.

"No one hears your screams...."

Funny stuff.

I saw a few of these some time back but more have been added. I'm laughing while sitting here.

Hope you're well. I've been reading but haven't had much to say. My fault, not your posts.

Best

Ann

I think a real live humanoid wrote these. Love 'em.

That one pretty much explains most of my computer experiences.

Hope you've been well, my friend. I've been away from blogging too, but never away from living my life. I like how you phrased that.

Thanks Nvisible, Granny, Madcap and Nova - some of my best blogging feelings for you four! Keep the threads intact.

nice.

Excellent!

Gary’s Winter Soon Over

Trombone’s far to cool to play
Compose a melody for buds in May?
Winter ends life’s hibernation
Spring time breaths Gary’s liberation!!

Not to late to make your stand
To care for your mighty land
Rescue men from man made trap
Partner Amnesty on your final lap
(I know you’re thinking of retiring)

Lindsay - when I finally retire (or even work less), I'm going to sit with you for a few days and just tell stories and write poetry. Thanks!

Working is very time-consuming, no??

Interesting Bohemian! As always.

that is so awesome! If only I could read computer, I could rewrite the error programming to have these

Windows might actually become enjoyable..

Apt, oh so apt.

Just saying hi to ya.

Very beautiful. I always admire the simlpicity of Haiku.

Gary, hope all is well, you must be busy. I would like your feedback or commentary on my new permaculture blog when you're 'back online'.
hugs
Ingrid
