Burma 'extends Aung San Suu Kyi detention'

Burmese pro-democracy activist Aung San Suu Kyi had her house arrest extended for another 12 months (story), sources within the country's military government say. This brave winner of the 1991 Nobel Peace Prize has spent 10 of the last 15 years in prison or house arrest.

Go here to learn more about Ms Suu Kyi and to connect to action you can take.

Thank you for this reminder, Gary.
Aung San Suu Kyi is one of the people in this world I highly respect and admire. I remember well 1991 when she recieved the peace prize - only two years after Dalai Lama (a good period for the nobel comittee I think - as I don't agree with all the choices)
