Polio spread halted across Africa
This is a good-news story and those are nice to have. It's been a stuggle, but a worldwide effort (from everyone from the Rotary Club to the UN) has almost eradicated polio. As a kid in the 50's, I remember when it struck friends and families close to us. Neil Young almost died from polio as a child - think of the music we almost missed!
